Most people when asked what they want will give a long list of items.
If they want a revolution, they want the world to not be so greedy. They want everyone to pay their fair share. They want equal access with equal rights. Sometimes those who say they want revolution actually are greedy.
They want opportunities. They want to be rich.
Life Isn’t Fair
Not all of those things are bad to want, but none of those things are likely to happen. Even with a revolution, the people who make the rules will become the rulers.
We all tend to want to be the despots in our own worlds.
We Aren’t Fair
If you saw the article on Jesus, then you have an idea of who he was. But Jesus didn’t come to fix the world.
He came to fix US.
Part of the problem is that we are so unfair. We want everything our way. We don’t want to be disciplined, but we need discipline more than anything else.
Jesus can do miracles. I firmly believe it, but the biggest miracle Jesus is ever going to do is change you.
When you first come to Jesus and ask him to change the things around you, it may surprise you to see how often they do not.
But don’t let that get in the way of what God is doing. He is changing you, making you into His child. The closer you walk in the footsteps of Jesus, the more real you become. You don’t become an automaton or a clone. You are still you, but a better, more complete you.
